Hi! My name is Lauren Lerman and I am honored to be one of the fourth grade teachers here at Barton Pond Elementary. I was born and raised in Savannah, GA where I grew up with my parents, twin sister, and younger brother.

I attended Agnes Scott College, a women's college in Decatur, GA just outside of Atlanta (Go Braves!!). While there, I majored in Religion and Social Justice.

I eventually made my way out to California where I taught in Los Angeles, Oakland, and various cities throughout California.

In the summer of 2022, my family moved to Raleigh from the San Francisco Bay Area, where we had spent the last 10 + years. I most recently taught 5th grade for many years in the Bay Area. This will be my 14th year teaching. We have a daughter Adina who is a 4th grader at BPES, Solomon (Solly) who is a kindergartener here at BPES and our newest addition Gabriel, who is 2.5 years old. We are happy to be back in the South and closer to our families!

In my spare time, I enjoy working out, crocheting/ knitting, singing, being in nature, and spending time with my family.

I am incredibly excited to be here at Barton Pond Elementary and to partnership with you and your scholar to have a wonderful year!
