Mrs. Kohlhepp
Mrs. Kohlhepp
Hello, I'm Ms. Kohlhepp, the Visual Art teacher at Vance Elementary. I have also taught at Powell Center for Play & Ingenuity Magnet Elementary in Raleigh; Lakeside Elementary near Dallas, TX; and Lincoln Heights Elementary in Fuquay-Varina, NC. This will be my 26th year teaching Art!
Since I love lists, here is my life in list form. :)
I got married to Mr. Kohlhepp in November 2017!
I grew up on a grain farm in southern Indiana.
I love Art (of course) especially drawing and clay.
I moved from Dallas to Raleigh to be near my nephew, Lucas and my sister, Pam. Lucas was six when I moved here...he turned 26 in December!
Traveling makes me happy (especially when it involves nature and hiking). I took a 35 day road trip out west a few years ago and visited 12 National Parks!
My husband and I visited Mt. Rainier in Washington. (The picture to the left was one from our visit....do you see me in the bottom picture?)
Asheville is one of my favorite places!
I love QUOTES!
I have a VERY SERIOUS t-shirt collection. I lost count at 250!
Exercising makes me feel better. Bike rides, hiking, and yoga are my faves. (See below why I need to exercise!)
I love to bake especially cookies. (My shortbread cookies are delicious!)
My favorite colors are blue and green. The colors remind me of nature.
My love of cold brew coffee is apparent every morning!
"The Day the Crayons Came Home" is ONE of my favorite children's book! (Esteban the Magnificent is hilarious!)
My love of art does not end in the Visual Arts. I love live music especially fellow North Carolinians Mandolin Orange/Watchouse. Charley Crockett and Waxahatchee are quickly becoming favorites too.
