In short, Yes!
Here's why; stretching is going to help with muscle flexibility, decreases pain and stiffness, lowers stress, helps with range of motion, reduced risk of injury, improve blood flow, minimize wear and tear on joints, and I could go on, but I think you get the point!
Stretching is often overlooked or done quickly, but it is vital for success to an athlete. When the muscles in your body become too tight you risk injuring yourself and can cause "unnecessary wear and tear on your muscles." Also, it can help your range of motion, which will allow you to run faster, jump higher, jumpr longer, and throw further. So please make sure you are stretching!
