Hi Warriors! I am Carmen Brennan and I am very excited to be one of the assistant track coaches at Alston Ridge Middle. I spent my middle school years playing soccer, dancing and cheerleading. Running helped me excel in all of those activities and became a passion I still enjoy now. I have participated in all kinds of road races from 5Ks, half marathons, marathons to a Half Ironman triathlon a few years ago. With the right training and dedication, you can tackle any distance. I can't wait to share my love for running with our track team!
Hello, I'm Coach Jackson and I'm passionate about all things Track and Field. This is my 9th year coaching and working with young athletes is the best part of my job! I currently hold a USATF Level 1 Coaches Certification and plan on furthering my coaching knowledge.
The best part about coaching for me is seeing athletes achieve their goals, work hard to grow in the sport, and continue to flourish moving into high school. I have several former athletes running on scholarship and I see them perform whenever I get the chance.
I'm excited to see what the future holds for this amazing program!
Hello, I am so excited to be your assistant coach this year. I have assisted with track and field since I started student teaching 12 years ago. I truly enjoy working with student athletes and seeing them grow from season to season.
I ran cross country, indoor track and outdoor track throughout my high school years. I have run more road races than I can count since then, everything from 5k to a full marathon. I still enjoy running 3 to 4 times a week but have added more cross training into my weekly routine, such as riding the stationary bike, HIIT workouts and weight lifting.
I look forward to having a great track and field season with everyone!
I am excited to be the shotput coach for Alston Ridge. This is my first time being a shotput coach, but I am very excited to see the amount of success we had in our only track meet. I loved throwing shotput and discus in junior high, it is so exciting to see young athletes accomplishing their goals through regular exercise and practice.
