C.O.B.R.A. is a source evaluation tool. Use the questions below to evaluate your sources to make sure your sources are reliable for research.

CURRENCY

• Are there dates to indicate when the page was written?
• Was the site updated recently?
• Are the links up-to-date?

ORIGIN

• Is the sponsoring organization trustworthy?
• Do links lead to reputable sites?

BIAS

• Does the site present both sides of an issue?
• Is the information free from bias?
• If there is advertising, is it clearly separate from the information?

RELEVANCY

What is the purpose of the information? (to entertain, educate, persuade, sell)

AUTHORITY

• Is it clear who wrote the information?
• Are they qualified?
• Are you able to contact the author?

Creator's Last Name, First Name. "Title of the digital image." Title of the website, First Name Last Name of any

contributors, Version (if given), Number (if given), Publisher, Publication date, URL. Access date.
