Meet Ms. Carmen Brennan

Hi Warriors! I am so excited to be the Media Specialist at Alston Ridge Middle School. My goal is to help every student gain the skills needed to become a life-long learner by becoming a curious reader and attaining the research skills to find the answers to all their questions. I look forward to collaborating with teachers and students to create lessons and experiences that inspire new thinking and learning.

I began my teaching career as an English teacher at Cary High School and have spent time as a Media Specialist at Enloe High School and Davis Drive Middle School before opening Alston Ridge Middle School in July 2019. I received my Bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education from NC State University and my Master's in Library Science from NC Central University. When I am not in the library, I enjoy spending time with my three children, running, reading and traveling abroad.
