Each time you find a good source, look for the place on the page to get the MLA Citation. It usually has a checkmark or quotation marks for an icon. Cut and paste that citation into a document to organize all your sources. All of our library resources in Britannica and EBSCO have this button, even the images and videos!
Use the link in your citation to get back to the file anytime, but you may have to be logged into WakeID to do that.

Are you writing the exact words of the author, exactly as they appear on the page (including any possible misspellings)? This is a quote and should be put in quotation marks.
Are you putting the information you read in your source into your own words? This is a summary.
“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.”
Harry's friends were Ron and Hermoine.
Quote and Summary from Source
Rowling, J.K. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. New York: Scholastic, 1999. Print.
In the Library Catalog, you might not find a book with your topic as the title, you may need to get a general book.
ex. A book on Amphibians might have a chapter on the Axolotl, but we don't have a book about them.
Each time you find a good source, write down the part of the book to help you relocate it in our library catalog to see it again.
