Questions for Senior Presentations

• Why did you choose the Grand Engineering Challenge that you did? What do you see in the local community that makes you feel like it is a problem?

• Why are you passionate about this particular topic? Is it something you feel that you will pursue in the future?

• How did completing this project change your way of thinking about problems?

• Ask any project related questions you feel are necessary.

Questions for Project Invent Presentations

• What roadblocks did you face while creating your invention?

• What steps could you take to continue your progress to take this product to market?

• How has this process challenged you as a student and inventor?

• Describe your team dynamic and collaboration style.

• Ask about one of the following key skills students were building: Agency, Resilience, Ambition, Curiosity, Empathy, Creative Confidence.

Question for Poster Projects (Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors)

• Ask them to explain their project first to give you an idea of what they did.

• What was the main point of your assigned project? How does that relate to the STEM Academy principles of energy and/or sustainability?

• Why did you approach the project the way that you did? Did you consider any different ways of approaching the problem?

• How was working with your fellow group members? Did you learn anything about collaboration and communication with your peers? What did you learn?
