This is it we are in the final stretch! 1 week before EOGs! How did we get here so fast? This week we are finishing our human body unit. Only 2 systems left; respiratory and circulatory. After our Human Body final on 5/23 or 5/24 we will start to study for our 7th grade Science final. (6/1 or 6/4)

Science grades are up to date on PowerSchool. Interims come home 5/7. Please encourage your students to see their teachers about improving their grades and/or make up missing assignments due to absences. As always, it is their responsibility to do so.
Looking ahead... 7th grade Math EOG is 5/30. 7th grade Reading EOG is 5/31. We need proctors!! E-mail us if you are interested.
Contracts must be signed and turned in before any student is allowed to participate in a lab. I am still missing a lot of students contracts.
Hello! My name is Miss Weyant and I am excited to be starting my 4th year at Carroll! First off, you should know that I am from Ohio! As much as I love Ohio, North Carolina gets a plus for weather in my book even if its a little bipolar. My favorite subjects are, of course, math and science! They should be since I got my Masters's Degree in Middle Childhood Education Math and Science from Wright State University. Woo! Go Raiders. I have even worked at Sea World San Antonio for a couple of summers! It was so cool, or cold depending on whether I was with the penguins, sharks, or dolphins.
Anyways, moving on from my love of Science and Math, I have a wonderful puppy, who is not a puppy anymore. Her name is Roxie and she is an Australian Shepard. As far as other interest I have a million, because I love to learn and try new things. I am typically up for anything. The easiest to talk about is my love for adventure and the outdoors. While at Wright State, I was a trip leader and took students kayaking, hiking, backpacking, and rock climbing. I have kayaked in PA, WV, FL, AZ, NV and hopefully NC soon! I love being outside and getting to see new things. I have backpacked on the Appalachian Trail in NC and TN! I have climbed in NV and OH. I love sports! I was an athlete in middle and high school. I played volleyball, soccer, and was on the swim team!
I grew up with an engineer as a dad and a tax agent as a mom and two brothers. I really am a nerd at heart, so here is a really corny joke that is better in person--maybe not. Anyways, What did they acorn say when he woke up in the morning after a good nights sleep? ---Geee om a tree--- get it geometry... Not good enough? Ok. What do you call a boiling cauldron on a hill? ----high pot in use...get it hypotenuse.
