Rising 6th Grade Registration will begin March 11- April 12th. Current Wake County Students will complete the registration process at their current school with their 5th grade counselor.
Every student is automatically enrolled in Math, English, Science, Social Studies and PE. All courses are mixed levels with the exception of Math. A student's Math level is determined by recommendations from their 5th grade teacher. Parents who have questions regarding their student's Math level should contact their elementary school counselor.
In addition to their core classes, students at East Millbrook take 3 elective courses each day.
Chorus, Band and Orchestra are year-long courses and are given preference. Students who request these classes will see them on their schedule and will be enrolled in them for the entire 24-25 school year.
All other electives are semester long. This means that students will be assigned classes in the August that will run until the end of January. They will then receive new classes that will run from January - June. If a student requested a particular class and does not see it on their fall schedule, it is very likely that will be enrolled in it for the spring semester.
