CF23 Confinement Facilities

This grant was made available to work with local confinement facilities (jails and juvenile detention centers) not operated by the State to stop the spread of COVID in close contact situations brought on as a result of incarceration.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office indicated a willingness to partner with the Health Department to implement policies and processes to help mitigate the spread of COVID (and other infectious diseases) in the jail. The workplan included updates to equipment and facilities to reduce cross-contamination and improve decontamination.
