OUR MISSION
“Our mission is to provide youth-friendly, easily accessible, health and wellness services to all students on campus.”
OUR HISTORY
The Richmond High School Wellness Center, or "the CIS," was established in 1996. Its original name was "Communities in Schools" which is where the name "CIS" comes from. From the beginning, it was based on a partnership between the WCCUSD school district and community organizations, specifically Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS). Now, the community organization Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) operates the Wellness Center, and partners with many other community organizations including CCHS to provide many services to RHS students.
