Book Covers:
All books need to be covered and labelled at home. Books may be covered in coloured contact or appropriate pictures of your child’s choice finished off in clear contact. Books will come home as we use them. Please ensure that you send them back to school the next day, covered or not.
Equipment:
The students will be supplied with most stationery needs with the exception of a pencil case. When purchasing a pencil case keep in mind that desk space is limited and oversized pencil cases often harbour a build up of rubbish and unnecessary items.
Planners:
Planners are used to help students organise themselves, especially with homework and other class issues. They need to be at school every day. Please ensure that your child’s planner is signed every Thursday night to indicate that all homework has been completed. Please feel free to write a note in your child’s planner if you need to inform us of any reason why homework has not been completed or anything else you’d like to communicate. There is a lot of useful information in the front of the planners for you to read.
Crunch and Sip:
We will continue to participate in the Crunch and Sip programme. Please send in a small amount of FRESH fruit or vegetables for your child to eat, as well as a bottle of water.
Homework:
Homework will be discussed at the Parent Information Evening. At present, the Year 6 teachers are discussing the format and content of homework. Homework will commence, in some form, during Week 3.
Communication:
If your child is sick, please send a note with them when they return or use Edumate. If they are going to be absent for more than a few days please send us a note detailing the dates your child will be absent.
If you wish to discuss an issue regarding your child, please make an appointment with the class teacher by either writing a note in their planner or email. Alternatively, you may call the Primary Office to make an appointment.
