William Carey Christian School is now be using online permission for school events, including sport and subject excursions. Parents can do this through the WCCS App (for iOS or Android) or on the Edumate website.
To install the App on your device click either of the following links:

Alternatively, you can search for "wccs" on either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Refer to the screenshots below to ensure you have selected the correct app.
Once you have installed the WCCS app, follow the instructions below to sign in.
Step 1 - Open the app on your phone and click the 'Sign In' button.
Once you have clicked the 'Sign In' button you should then be redirected to a Microsoft sign-in page.
Step 2 - On the Microsoft sign-in page in the textbox that says 'Email address' type in your family portal username.
Your family portal username is a combination of your carers number + '@wccsnsweduau.onmicrosoft.com'. For example, if your carers' number is 111111, your username would be 111111@wccsnsweduau.onmicrosoft.com.
If you are unsure about your username please email edumate@wccs.nsw.edu.au.
Please Note: If this is the first time using your WCCS Family Portal login, you will need to sign into the portal page first, instruction can be found here
Step 3 - Once you have entered the correct username you can click the 'Next' button and type in your password.
If you haven't logged in before to the Family Portal or the WCCS App or you have requested a password reset, you will have to create a new password. Please note: you will have to make sure your password contains at least one special character, one number and one capital letter.
Once you have entered the correct password, click the Sign in button.

After logging into the app, you will have access to the WCCS app home page.
From the home page, there are links to:
News-feed: Announcements and alerts
Documents: Relevant documents, notes and the parent/carer handbook
To-Do: Where you will complete points of action such as permission notes
Calendar/Timetable: Details or events and class relevant to your child.
Absences: Allowing you to validate absences accrued in the previous 7 days.

WCCS App Homepage
If your child has a future event which requires permission, an alert will appear on top of the To-do button. Click on button to move to the approval section. Pending approval will show the events that require permission from you Future events will show the events you have already granted permission for.
To approve events, click on pending approval, this will take you to the various events all your children need permission to. Click on Events and click on the event you would like to grant permission for. This will take you to the event details.
This will give you access to WCCS documents such as:
• Assessment booklets
• Carer Handbooks
• eSmart Policies
• Extended and Exemption leave forms
• Medical forms
This section will show broadcasts (much like social media posts) from staff regarding specific information relevant to your family. The latest updates on events, closures, tickets, reports etc can be found here. It will be in best practice for you to check this every day.
This section lets you view the whole school calendar for events happening across Primary and High School by day, week or month.
This section allows you to verify absences for each child. The verification on the app can only be done at the end of the day. You will still receive an SMS during the day whenever your child is marked absent and has not been verified.
Pending shows the absences for each child who still need verification. History shows the list of absences over the year for each child
Click on submit absence explanation. This will take you to a new window with all the dates of absences for the student.
You will need to click on the dates (so the tick is highlighted in blue) and put in the reason and add details for the absence before you click on submit.
This section shows the email addresses of the teachers your child’s been taught by, over the years. You can use this section to book appointments with the teachers if required.
This section will allow you quick access to various websites associated with our School. For example:
WCCS Portal – allows you to access the student portal
Munch Monitor – Canteen orders
This allows you to choose the activities that you wish to receive push notifications for (notification on the top bar of your phone). We highly recommend you say yes to all to keep up with recent updates from School.
