When you enroll at Washtenaw Community College, you can submit your current CDA Certificate as Credit for Prior Learning.
Once this is evaluated, you will earn credit in your Child Development Associate Degree. Specifically, you will earn credit for:
ECD 122: Essential of Early Care and Education I (4 credits)
ECD 123: Essential of Early Care and Education II (4 credits)
ECD 132: Child Development Practicum I (1 credit)
ECD 133: Child Development Practicum II (1 credit)
When you enroll at Washtenaw Community College, you will submit your current MI-YDA as Credit for Prior Learning.
Once this is evaluated, you will earn credit in your Elementary Education Associate Degree. Specifically, you will receive credit for:
EDU 104: Introduction to Teaching in a Diverse Society (3 credits)
ECD 180: Working with Families in a Diverse Society (3 credits)
PSY 220: Human Development and Learning (4 credits)
After you apply to WCC and obtain your student number (starts with @00) and WCC email, you will fill out this form: Credential
You will be asked to upload a copy of your current certificate when you submit the form.
