You can rent an instrument from a local music store or purchase or borrow an instrument. If you are planning to purchase an instrument, please read everything thoroughly before making a decision. If you are planning to rent an instrument, you can do so at one of the stores listed below.

There are plenty of "Band Instruments" for sale on the internet. Cheap band instruments become incredibly frustrating as they can be difficult to play, break easily, and at times impossible to repair. This will impact the time the student has to practice and their ability to produce a good sound.
Remember the adage: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"

Things to be cautious about:
Any instrument that isn't a name brand
Any instrument with a colorful finish (i.e pink, blue, or purple)
Ask about a trial period, it is always better to "try out" the instrument you want to buy before you purchase. Bring it to Mr Gibboney for a second opinion!
Price does matter! Usually the higher the price, the better quality the instrument. The cheaper the instrument, well, the cheaper the instrument.
