If possible, please go and get fitted for proper running shoes at a local running store. I got my start at BMRC - West Chester, but I've worked in all five locations throughout my career (West Chester, Media, Bryn Mawr, Emmaus, Wilmington). I grew up purchasing shoes at the Media location, and Karen, the manager, sold me my first box of running shoes up to my most recent pair. 

The staff members are always knowledgeable and speak from experience. If you go to the West Chester location, Ed, the manager, will give you a discount for Peirce XC.
