ELA

The 6th grade ELA curriculum is a writer's workshop model where students will be responsible to maintain a writer's notebook. Students will create four major pieces of writing based on the four units taught: Launch Unit, Argumentative Essay, Feature Article, and Personal Narrative. For each unit, students will be engaged in the writing process including generating ideas, selecting, collecting, drafting, revising, editing and publishing.
