Camping Waipu Caves

Dates:

Group 3: 22-23 August

Group 6: 24-25 August

Group 1: 31 August - 1 September

Overview:

This trip takes place over two days and gives students the ability to hone their rock climbing, abseiling, caving, and camping skills.

Van shed at bottom of drive

Meeting time:

8:30am

Departure time:

8:45am

Heading to:

Waipu Caves reserve

Return time:

We will be back the following day at WBHS before the 3:10pm bell rings

Gear supplied by each student:

Students should have warm clothing i.e. socks, shirts, pants, jumper, thermals etc
Thermals for caving
Sturdy shoes
Sleeping bag
Raincoat
Active wear
A bag to put wet clothes into after caving
Towel
Toothbrush/toothpaste
Bowl/cup/cutlery
Students need to bring lunch for the first day and a water bottle.
