In TIMEMUN 2021, we will be using Zoom to conduct debate. All Zoom meetings in all committee sessions will be recorded and saved online.
Please note the following instructions:
Make sure you are using the latest version of Zoom.
When you are in committee, change your Zoom profile name to reflect your position in TIMEMUN (for instance: if Adam Cohen is representing Brazil in his committee, his name will be BRAZIL not Adam Cohen).
Do not use photos as screen backgrounds. The only acceptable background will be that of the flag of the delegation the delegates are representing.
Whenever you are in a committee session, please keep your microphone off and your camera on.
The procedure for sending notes:
Write your note in Zoom chat.
The first line should indicate who the note is for (for example, TO: the delegate of Israel, or TO: Senator Amy Klobuchar). It is then followed by your message
Send the note to your committee admin, who will read your note.
If the note is appropriate, it will then be forwarded to the relevant person.
If the note is not acceptable either because of content or language, it will be sent to the Committee Chair and you will be asked to meet with the chair. In appropriate notes will result in a warning and, if the practice continues, can result in suspension or expulsion from the conference.
Your chair will explain how Zoom will be used in your committee for voting.
