Your reflections are a significant part of your mark for this course, so it is important to understand what is expected. The best way to learn how to blog, and to produce great results is to simply
Be authentic
Do your best
Be open to critical feedback
Be interesting and have fun!
Your reflections should be more like a diary than a biography, thus you are expected to meet the deadlines. The date stamp on the reflection entry will be used to determine any penalties.
-10% less than 1 week late
-20% more than 1 week, but less than 2 weeks late
-30% more than 2 week, but less than 3 weeks late
-50% more than 3 weeks late.
Your reflections should be useful to both you and your readers...so it should be interesting, informative, supported with digital artifacts, and readable. Use the Blogging Instructions to help you meet these important criteria.
Make sure you self-evaluate your reflections using the Blog Reflection Rubric. Collaborate with your peers or the instructor if you are unsure of what is being evaluated, and how to improve your blog.
The instructor will put your Reflection Marks in PowerSchool, and leave a grade-comment for how to improve your next blog entry to the next level.
NOTE: All other reflections follow the same standards so you have an opportunity to grow in your ability to document your growth in learning.
