I chose to try to improve on the resilient, persistent, and adaptable achiever as one of my learner outcomes in order to be able to adapt and be resilient with my learning. I wanted to be able to truly grasp what I was learning, and I knew that wasn't going to happen if I were to simply give up every time a challenge came along. I also wanted to be able to be persistent with my learning. I want to see something that I really didn't understand properly, and try to actively understand it. My growth in this learner profile has been due to the fact that I wanted to make an app so much that I persisted through the struggles. When I first started to understand how Thunkable works, I was pretty much clueless. I was able to be persistent with the application and learn how to use it well enough to eventually be able to download it on my own device for my own use. I think that shows an immense amount of persistence on my part. For more evidence of my growth in this learner profile, I have a few pictures below that demonstrate the visual renovations that I made on my app because I wanted it to genuinely look good. I could have simply left the visuals to be the basic ones that I had before, but since I really wanted to make a great app, I decided to go the extra mile and design the visuals nicely [on reflection number five I also have the whole image carousel of each of my screens before and after the renovation. On that page I also explain what exactly I did to renovate them]. Before doing this project, I had absolutely no clue that I could create an app like I did; I had no clue that I can design app screens on Canva and make a working app on Thunkable; I had not clue that I would eventually be able to have an app that I made on my phone's very own homescreen.
I also planned to learn how to be an insightful and strategic researcher. I am choose this LO because I knew that if I were to be able to successfully research and understand a topic alone, without help, you will be able to accomplish almost anything. I'd say that 100% the most prominent aspect of my whole project was the researching how to connect the block code. I went through what felt like hundreds of of forums [see figure 1] and youtube videos [see figure 2], as well as tens of trials and errors. Nevertheless, I also researched a lot on how to use thunkable's tools [see figure 3]. I would describe my growth with this learner profile to be "always ready and eager to learn," because truly I always wanted to know how to do something I didn't know. There was never a time while making this project where I consciously not looking forward to figuring something out. Some very useful abilities that I learned when doing my project is using keywords, also I started to understand that if a website has a "__(name of website)__ Help" section then I should probably go look there if I have any questions (this could be especially useful if there is a community forum). Overall, I think that through this project, I was able to developed very nicely in this learner outcome.
