Crypto in Daily Life

Life With Crypto

Although still relatively new, cryptocurrency is one of the most exciting parts of our future. As the crypto market changes and shifts, we will have to adapt with it as it finds its place in our lives. As with any new market, crypto will need time to develop and become widely accepted. Cryptocurrency also has accessibility issues. The average person either cannot or doesn’t know how to access cryptocurrency which prevents it from being used. There are also currently not many places that accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment, harming its practicality.

Future of Crypro

Cryptocurrency is still changing and only time will tell what’s to come. As something that is only 15 years old there is already an astronomical amount of change and development that has been made in that short time. Because of this, it is hard to determine exactly how cryptocurrency can fit into our lives. With so many features and layers yet to be added we will need to find ways to support and integrate them. Dan Egan, a Vice President at Betterment has this to say, “Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin have proven themselves useful for money movement and speculation, and they’re unlikely to go away.” Crypto is here to stay but how are we going to use it?

Using Crypto

According to Coinbase, a crypto wallet is something that is used to “keep your private keys… safe and accessible, allowing you to send and receive cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.” These wallets are good options but it can be tricky to use quickly and on the go. However, there are new options coming out that allow for much faster access to crypto funds. One such option is Metamask, which recently began supporting Apple Pay in its wallets in April of 2022. There is still one big problem, many people don’t know how to get the crypto to begin with.

Crypto Confusion

Simply put, most people don’t know much about crypto. A quiz done by CoinTelegraph showed that only 4% of Americans were literate in crypto. This is dangerous for the integration of cryptocurrency because people usually stay away from what they don’t understand. This is not to say that all hope for cryptocurrency is lost. There are thousands of videos and breakdowns across the internet that help create an understanding of crypto in millions of viewers. As time passes and crypto becomes more mainstream and used in daily life it’s likely that it will integrate into our lives to the point of common knowledge.
