1. Learn about other cultures, languages, and important global issues to become a well-rounded, open-minded person.
2. Practice communicating in the language you're learning in different situations and for various reasons.
3. Read, listen to, and interact with people from different cultures to appreciate and understand their perspectives.
4. Explore how the languages and cultures you know are connected and influence each other.
5. Discover how language is important in all areas of life and learning.
6. Engage in activities that challenge your mind and help you develop critical and creative thinking skills while learning a language.

Binder or Notebook: Any type, shared with other classes is fine, but must be organized. Alternatively, Google Docs can be used.
Pencils, Pens (Black or Blue): Only black or blue ink is acceptable.
Paper: Bring paper for note-taking and classwork, uncrumpled.
Chromebooks/Laptops: Required daily and should be charged every night.
Highlighters (Optional): Useful for emphasizing key points.
Index Cards (Optional): Helpful for studying and allowed on tests.
HL students are required to read at least two Spanish literary texts; the following will be read in IB Spanish:
