Main Fixes For Anything Not Working On Your Chromebook
Fix # 1 - LOG IN AGAIN
Go to the bottom right hand corner, click anywhere within the user profile section that has the time and battery icons, go to the upper right hand corner of the box that appears and hit Sign out, then sign back in again.
Fix # 2 - RESTART YOUR CHROMEBOOK
Hold down the refresh button (right above the 4 key) and the power button ( right above the backspace key) for just a second and restart your chromebook. If it is frozen or gone blank you may have to hold them down for 5 to 10 seconds.
Fix # 3 - MEMORY DUMP FEATURE
Hold down Ctrl, alt, shift, r, and power keys to dump the memory.
Fix #4 - CLEAR CACHE, COOKIES, AND HISTORY
Click the Clock in the bottom right corner of the screen, click settings (gear icon), scroll all the way down and click Advanced. Under Privacy and Security, click "Clear Browsing Data" (all 3 should appear checked) and click "Clear Data."
Remember to occasionally hit shut down instead of just closing the cover and update the OS (operating system) when a new version comes out.
If Chromebook is asking for your old password, click "Forgot Password."
Turn off Chromebook, then back on. Log in again.
If a website is not loading, check to see if pop-ups are blocked. (Click Settings in bottom right corner, scroll down until you see Advanced, click Advanced, under Privacy and Security click Content Settings, scroll down and view Popups.)
