Need to record what you do on your screen? Screencastify can do that! This is a Google Chrome extension so you can use on your Chromebook to record what you do.
Read and Explain an Article/Website/Research: Find an article you want students to understand but know that it's difficult material to understand. You wish you had class time to explain it? Now you can. Have the article pulled up on your computer, click to record in Screencastify, now you can read and explain the article, research, or website.
Explain a video: Remember those times you showed a video in class and intended to stop it at a particular time and explain it or make a comment? Play the video while you record your screen and ask those questions or make those comments. (Note: You can also do this in EdPuzzle - and if you don't want your voice asking the questions - EdPuzzle can do that PLUS you can ask questions and have it grade students' answers. For more info. about EdPuzzle, see the Tutorials section and/or the EdPuzzle from the Tutorials dropdown.)
No worries about videos being blocked to students
Show students how to use a program/software: Just like you see on Youtube videos, step students through how to use a tech tool or online game by recording yourself using it before they get started.
