3D Printer

There are three 3D printers housed in room 227B. They are placed there so that that IT Help Desk students can assist with your classroom printed needs. They are also used by our students who enroll in DPT 100 dual credit through SCC to print projects required for the class. There are other 3D printers in the building as well.

Teachers are encouraged to use 3D models or items to assist with instruction. Thingiverse.com (linked above) is a great place to find already created items that can be printed.

A small fee will be charged to print personal items. This allows us to purchase the filament needed to keep the printers running.

The Technology Design class will be printing items for resale so that we can have an income revenue for replacing filament as needed. These students will also be using Tinkercad to design items. There are a couple of examples below. We welcome your ideas for 3D items.

This is the cardinal ornament that was designed in the Tech Design class. We sell these to provide for our filament and supplies.

We also offer personalization of ornaments. These have been popular for sports teams. Again, the sell price is set to cover our costs and keep us in supplies.
