Hi! My name is Annette Guinn and I will be your math teacher this year. This will be my 28th year in the classroom and I still get excited about teaching and watching my students enjoy learning!
I am a graduate of Wayne County High School as well as Eastern Kentucky University where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree and Master's Degree. I, also, am a graduate of Union College where I earned my Rank I.
I was honored to receive the 2019 Excellence in Teaching Award from Campbellsville University as well as the Go Cards Award for Wayne County Middle School.
In math class this year, we will be covering a variety of topics including the areas of algebra, geometry, probability and statistics. As we cover each unit, I will try to have several activities planned to help students better understand the math concepts explained in class. Math is something we use everyday, we just don't think about it being math. I hope students in my class enjoy math or will start enjoying math again and see how it does relate to them and what they do in their everyday lives.
I know math can be challenging, but I hope everyone comes to class with an open mind and a positive outlook everyday. You never know what you might like or can do until you give it a try.
If you need to get in touch with me, my email is annette.guinn@wayne.kyschools.us or you can call Wayne County Middle School at 348-6691.
