The 5th Grade Team at Bridgeport Elementary School
Starting after parent-teacher conferences, the fifth grade team at Bridgeport offers tutoring after school on most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:20-3:30 pm starting after Fall Break. Tutoring is free of charge and open to any Bridgeport fifth grader. To participate in a tutoring session, students must turn in a permission slip for each session. Students are also encouraged to bring a snack. By 2:20, children are famished. A snack helps to energize students for the 60+ minutes of additional instruction.
Parents must fill out a permission form and send it back to school by the Monday prior to tutoring. If we do not receive the form by the Monday prior to a Tuesday’s or Thursday's tutoring session, a student may not attend. We ask this of parents because we need to know how many students are attending and what their needs are so that we may plan the tutoring session accordingly. Tutoring dates are listed on our grade level calendar below. Use the scroll bar to view tutoring dates for upcoming and future sessions.
Permission forms are sent home with students prior to a tutoring session. If you do not receive a copy from your child, you may download or print a generic copy above. Please make sure to fill out the dates for the tutoring session(s) that you would like your child to attend.
