Report cards are issued at the end of each grading period and are supplemented by mid-term progress reports. These mid-term progress reports are sent home during the fourth or fifth week of each grading period. Students are evaluated at the end of each grading period on their academic achievement, daily assignments, study habits, and citizenship/behavior. Parents are encouraged to monitor their child's progress online in Skyward. Click HERE to go to Skyward.
Report cards provide information to parents about their child's performance in core curriculum subjects and specials classes (Art, music, library, and physical education). Space is provided for comments teachers may wish to make. A separate form is also provided for comments parents may wish to make. This form also allows parents to request a parent-teacher conference to discuss their child's academic or behavioral needs.
The Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township uses the grading scale listed below for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Look for this information on tests, quizzes, or in-class assignments.
