Waymaker Kids Therapy operates as a private pay (self-pay) practice. This model allows us to provide highly individualized, family-centered care without the limitations often placed on therapy by insurance companies.
Private pay means families pay directly for services at the time of the appointment rather than billing insurance. This allows for:
Longer and more flexible sessions
Treatment plans tailored to your child’s unique needs
Focus on functional, meaningful goals—not insurance-driven requirements
Greater collaboration with families
While we do not bill insurance directly, we are happy to provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is a detailed receipt that families may submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Please note:
Reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies by insurance plan
We recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about out-of-network occupational therapy benefits
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept:
Credit cards
Debit cards
If you have questions about private pay, insurance reimbursement, or whether this model is the right fit for your family, we’re happy to talk it through.
