About Me

Hi, my name is Kim Merzwa, OTR/L, a pediatric occupational therapist and the owner of Waymaker Kids Therapy. I have been working as a pediatric occupational therapist since 2008 in a variety of settings including home, school, and clinic. I am Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. I’m passionate about helping children build the skills and confidence they need to participate fully in everyday life. I take a supportive, play-based approach and believe therapy works best when families feel heard, understood, and empowered. It’s an honor to walk alongside parents as their child grows and thrives.
