Getting started with occupational therapy doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. At Waymaker Kids Therapy, we make the process simple, supportive, and family-centered.
Step 1: Reach Out
Contact us by phone or email to ask any questions you may have. We’ll talk through your concerns and help determine whether occupational therapy is a good fit for your child.
Step 2: Complete Intake Forms
Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll send secure intake forms to gather background information about your child’s strengths, routines, and areas of concern.
Step 3: Evaluation
Your child’s evaluation will include skilled observation, standardized assessments as appropriate, and play-based activities. We’ll take time to understand your child as a whole and discuss findings and recommendations with you.
Step 4: Individualized Therapy
If therapy is recommended, we’ll create an individualized treatment plan focused on meaningful goals for your child and family. Therapy sessions are engaging, supportive, and designed to promote confidence, independence, and participation in everyday activities.
If you’re unsure whether occupational therapy is right for your child, we’re happy to talk it through. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
