Amanda Cosenza graduated from Worcester State University in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Education. While at Worcester State University she was a member of the Worcester State Dance Company and Women’s lacrosse team, Women’s Basketball team. In addition she was a member of the Student Athletic Committee. Amanda recently graduated with a Masters degree from Framingham State University in Nutrition Education in 2016. Amanda began teaching at Wayland High School in 2012 teaching both Health and Physical Education classes. Amanda is the Varsity Girl’s Basketball Coach, Junior Varsity Lacrosse coach, Senior Class advisor and the Mentors in Violence Prevention Club Advisor. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to different islands on cruises and attending Boston Celtics games, her favorite New England Sports team.

Scott Parseghian

As a 1992 graduate of Wayland High School it was always his dream to return to Wayland to teach and coach in the town that he loves. Scott has been teaching in Wayland Public Schools since 1996 after graduating from Plymouth State university. Over the years in Wayland he has had many different jobs including, teaching Physical Education at Loker, Health teacher at Wayland Middle School and Dean of Students/Assistant Principal at Wayland High School. Right now Scott is currently the Director of Wellness for the Wayland Public School system and teaches at WHS. Scott also serves as the head football coach, assistant wrestling coach, ultimate frisbee advisor and helps run our mentors and violence program. When Scott is not in Wayland, you can find him with his family on a lake in NH enjoying water sports.

John Berry

John has been teaching in the Wayland Public Schools since 2007. He is no stranger to the town as he grew up off of West Plain St. and graduated from WHS in 2002. He earned his bachelor's degree in Movement and Sports Science with a concentration in physical education from Springfield College in 2006. In 2012 John received his Masters degree in Health Education from Cambridge College. John worked at Happy Hollow and Loker for 7 years before joining the High School team. Besides teaching and coaching John is also father, SADD advisor, and DJ, who loves hiking, cooking and dancing.


Jennifer Reed is a Wellness Teacher at Wayland High School. She received a Masters Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health and Prevention. She spent some time working at the policy level in Health Prevention in Philadelphia before transitioning into the school setting. She enjoys practicing yoga and dance, especially ballet and ballroom. During her free time, you can find her enjoying time at the beach on Martha's Vineyard or in Naples with her family. In the fall you can find her cheering on the Georgia Football team with her husband and 3 kids. Go Dawgs!
