2024-2025

Hello, 6th graders and families!

I am really excited to journey through a new school year with you.

This will be my 25th year teaching at Wayland Middle School. I grew up in the beautiful Berkshires, and have lived in the eastern part of MA for the last 25 years. My family and I live in Framingham. My son Jack is a 10th grader at WHS, my daughter Lila is a 7th grader here at WMS, and we have an awesome eight-year-old dog named Izzy.

My family really loves to ski, and we take many trips throughout the winter, both in New England and out west. My favorite skiing mountains so far are Crystal Mountain in Washington, and Palisades in Lake Tahoe, CA.

Pictured above are some trips to:

-Puerto Rico

-Lake Tahoe, California

-New York City

-Nova Scotia, Canada

-Outer Banks, North Carolina

We also spend a lot of time at the Cape every summer, and we all love to go boating and fishing.

My most memorable trip has been to Peru, South America, where I explored the Andes Mountains and visited remote villages with my husband and friends, back in 2007. I hope to travel to many more countries (especially the ones I teach about in class) with my family over the next several years. I am heading to Tanzania, Africa, to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro in Feb. 2025!

I look forward to getting to know more about all of you!

Here's to an awesome year together,

Ms. Naughton
