Reeds
Students should only use the following brands of reeds. Using "off brand" reeds, while they may be cheaper, will dramatically effect the student's ability to play the instrument successfully. The majority of these reeds can be found on our RETTIG WEBSITE or reputable dealers on Amazon.

By 8th grade Clarinet and Saxophone players should be using a size 3 reed! Please ask your director if you have any questions!

Oils/Greases
Students should have the necessary supplies to keep their instrument in good playing condition. This is important as a dirty/uncared for instrument can make playing more difficult for the student but also could lead to negative environmental effects. All oils, greases, and care kits that a student may need can be found on our RETTIG WEBSITE or from reputable dealers on Amazon.
Any supplies that are purchased from Rettig music can be delivered to Wauseon schools. Select "Deliver to school" when checking out and your student will receive their order in class.

The Wauseon Music Boosters are committed to having ALL students that have a strong desire to participate in the band
have that chance. Fees and payments should never be a reason a student does not participate in the program. The money
that is raised through fundraising each year, in addition to purchasing needed supplies and materials for the music
department, is also used to help students in need. Please do not hesitate to contact our music booster treasurers
to find out how we can help if needed.
