2023 Season Summary
The Warrior boys soccer team finished the season with a 9-13-2 record and finished 5th in the conference standings. After a good start to the season (7-4), our team went on a slide, losing many close matches. We received a 10 seed for the play-offs out of 18 and faced Freedom in the first game. Our team played excellent in the regional opener. We lost to Freedom 3-1 in the first game of the season, but were able to defeat them 2-1 on their field. The regional final was then played in Plymouth (#2 seed). Our team played very well, but fell 3-0.

The 2022 season was an overall successful one filled with many highs and some lows. The team finished 9-13-4, with a 3-2-1 conference record for third place. The Warriors played six teams in the top ten of the state rankings. Only one loss came against a team with a sub-.500 record, and that was against a Division 1 squad. Some highlights from the season; In our second tournament, we beat division 1 Hartford and then played a very competitive game against a top ten Division 2 team in Baraboo. 1-1 at halftime, Baraboo scored with 12 minutes remaining to win. Homecoming week, we had two huge conference victories. 4-1 vs Ripon and 5-1 vs Winneconne to seal our 3rd place finish. earned the 5th seed out of 18 teams in our section. The top three teams were ranked #1, #4, and #8 in the state rankings. The 4th seed was 12-3-2 and beat us earlier in the year. We showed flashes of being a top team, but we couldn’t be consistent enough to really take that leap to a very good team status.

The 2021 Season was a down year record wise for the Warrior boys soccer team. We finished the season with a record of 5-16-1. Our 2-3-1 conference record was good enough to earn a tie for the fourth slot in the league. The Warrior soccer team had many new faces in the starting line-up this season after returning only a few varsity players from the year before. Consistent scoring was our biggest problem on the season. In the first half of games, we kept pace with the opposing team, but our scoring dried up in the second half with only 12 goals late in the game for the year. Half way through the schedule, our team had several players out isolated with Covid. This became a huge challenge for the team keeping a competitive squad on the field. Once back to full strength with players, the Warriors played competitive and more confident to finish the season.
The JV team finished the season with a 4-6 record. This has been an improvement in record over the past season. Several games were canceled due to injured and isolated players, but with the games played, our program looks to have several key players develop for the future.

Alt Season 2021 SPRING Summary
The 2020 Warrior soccer season was altered to the spring due to covid. This created a challenge and opportunity for us to compete in a blended conference (ECC & Flyway). Our season started 1-2 with a struggle with numbers at the beginning of the season with spring break and covid. However, we quickly turned it around and did not lose for the next 11 games, finishing with an 11-3-1 record. Our season concluded in the sectional final with an overtime loss to Fort Atkinson.
Team Highlights/Important Notes

Warrior Season Summary 2019
The Warrior soccer season was a rollercoaster year of rewards and missed opportunities. We started out slow going 1-4 with losses against two D1 teams, a D2 team, and a ranked D3 team. Although this was a slow start, the team was confident in our talent to change this record around. In our sixth game, we defeated D1 Manitowoc Lincoln 11-2, and we rattled off 12 victories in our next 14 games. The two losses in that span were to #2 ranked D1 Arrowhead and another good D1 team in Menomonee Falls (away). We then received some bad news that we lost our top two scorers for the remainder of the season and another good player for another few games. This took a toll on our team when injuries also started to happen in a one week span knocking down the strength of our team that was the depth of players. We went on a skid for a few games losing to two D2 teams, a ranked D3 team, and another strong D3 team. To finish the last seven games going 1-4-2, we finished the season 14-10-2 and 10-3-1 in the conference. Unfortunately, we lost in a shootout in the regional final after being tied for 110 minutes of play.
Team Highlights/Important Notes
Team Record - Most goals scored in a season (120). Only allowed 54 goals.
Stretch of games where we went 12-2 including a seven-game winning streak.
Non-conference 12 games vs five D1 teams, three D2 teams, three D3 (one ranked), one D4 (ranked). We did not lose a single game to a D3 or D4 non-conference team.
54 players in the program. Participation in extracurriculars is proven to help with overall school success. We should always look for the opportunity to get any students involved.
We were 2-3 vs ranked opponents.
#2 seed in sectionals (Highest for the soccer team in school history).
Baron Buchholz - a school record for goals and points in HS career 69 goals and 31 assists for 169 points in 84 games played for varsity.

Season in Review 2018
The Warriors finished with a record of 16-8-2 for the season and 7-3 in the ECC Conference. We again finished conference in 3rd place behind KML and Plymouth (both state bound teams). The schedule was strengthened this season, and we faced eight teams that have been ranked in the top 10 at some point during the season. After a pedestrian first half of the season where our record stood at 7-6-2, we finished winning 9 or the last 11 games. 16 wins ties the school record for victories in a season with the 2004 team (16-6-1). Offensively we scored as many goals as last season’s team as well as defensively giving up about the same amount. Eight shutouts on the season. Two players scored 20 or more goals. The last time we had two players with 20+ goals on the same team was in 2005. Waupun had not had a 20 goal scorer in many years. Both players will be returning next season. We will return a very strong core of players for next seasons team with several playing multiple years on varsity already.

Note: We played several games at CWC and JV played some at MVP due to the construction of our new stadium. Many times we were displaced from our school facilities.
The boys soccer team started the season in exciting fashion by tying the 2016 state runner up in the first game and then winning the CWC Kick-Off Classic Tournament, and finished the 2017 season with one of it’s most successful seasons on record going 14-9-2 on the season improving from our 11-11-2 finish last season. We finished 3rd in conference with a record of 7-2-1, only one game behind the champion (state qualifier Plymouth). Our schedule consisted of playing seven teams finishing the season in the top 10 in the state and a total of 16 games against teams with winning records. We were 1-4-2 against ranked teams and 6-8-2 against teams with winning records. The only loss to a team with a losing record was a division 1 school. The big win on the season was over Plymouth 1-0 on Mulder Field. This was the first time Plymouth lost in conference in the four years. Another big game was the crosstown rivalry game vs CWC, we won 3-0 in front of an electrifying crowd of fans from Waupun.
We had 46 players finish the season playing soccer. With our numbers, we ran a varsity, JV1, and JV2 season. The JV1 team finished with a record of 11-4. The JV2 team finished with a record of 5-8-2 against mainly JV1 teams. The program is definitely heading in a great direction with solid player numbers and successful teams at all three levels.
