A Message From Our Community Outreach Partner, the ICADV:

The Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) represents 22 local victim service agencies supporting survivors, families, and communities impacted by violence in all 99 counties. ICADV provides education, support, and consultation/technical assistance to local anti-violence programs, enabling them to establish housing and supportive services for victims/survivors of violence. They also serve as an information clearinghouse, primary point of contact, and resource center on domestic violence for the state.

Domestic violence will impact 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in their lifetime. It remains a preventable but persistent public health problem with epidemic levels of prevalence that can impact anyone regardless of age, race, gender, or socio-economic status. In 2022, over 29,000 Iowans received services through the network of victim service agencies ICADV represents.

To learn more, get involved with ICADV, or connect with your local victim service program, visit www.icadv.org. Advocates can support anyone impacted by violence at the Iowa Victim Services Call Center, 1-800-770-1650 or text “iowahelp” to 20121. All services are free, confidential, and available 24/7.
