Middle School Cross Country

Description: Students will learn effective running form and build endurance through practices that emphasize goal setting, growth and fun competition. There will be opportunities for interscholastic competition at away meets for those students who want to test themselves. This activity may plant seeds and build skills that prepare students for future competition in Upper School cross country. No experience needed!

Middle School Fall Tennis

Description: Due to high demand, we are offering Tennis in both the Fall and Spring. Both seasons will be recreational. Students will have the chance to play tennis in either the fall or spring (but not both). You may sign up for either Fall or Spring tennis. You may also sign up for both Fall and Spring tennis, and let the athletic department assign you to one of those seasons based on where your grade-level friends will be. For the non-tennis season, you will be placed in the activity you list as your second choice.

Middle School Crafting
Category: arts
Description: In Crafting, where students get hands-on with a variety of modern creative tools. Students will receive instruction on how to operate equipment like the laser cutter, 3D printer, Cricut, and sewing machines. They will then design and build their own projects, working on them throughout the winter. If you enjoy designing and creating, this is a great choice for you.

Middle School Fencing
Category: fitness & movement
Description: Students will have the opportunity to try out a cool and disciplined sport that mixes fitness and thinking skills. Outfitted with real fencing gear provided by the school, students will learn the basics of the sport, such as the rules, footwork, and how to attack and defend. After an exploration of the basics, students will learn to compete in scrimmage bouts using electronic scoring equipment. This activity will plant seeds and build skills that prepare students for future competition in our Upper School Varsity fencing program. No experience needed! Limit 8 students.

Middle School Ultimate

Description: Students will learn basic Ultimate Frisbee skills and strategy through engaging games that emphasize cardio, technique and competition. This activity will plant seeds and build skills that prepare students for future competition in Upper School Ultimate Frisbee. No experience needed!

Middle School Theater Activity

Description: Middle School Theatre Activity
In Middle School Theatre, students will explore the basics of performance technique through hilarious improvisation activities and theatre games. No experience necessary - just a willingness to try new things and to have a lot of fun while doing it!
