This tango was written in 1935 by Carlos Gardel, with lyrcis by Alfredo Le Pera. It's been used in various films, such as Schindler's List, Scent of a Woman, and True Lies. Carlos Gardel was a French Argentinian singer, songwriter, composer and actor who wrote several classic tangos. The year this piece was written, he and the lyricist, Le Pera, died in a plane crash. He was only 45. "On a personal note, I played viola on a different arrangement of this quartet in high school. I thought this would be a fun "quarantine project" and purchased the parts and spent a few weeks putting them together. Particularly that first violin part - it goes into the stratosphere, let me tell ya! I recorded the audio and video separately and spliced them together so that I could give the performance some "character". Enjoy!"
