Waterloo Virtual Academy

November 23-November 29: minimum of 10 hours (No school on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday)

November 30-December 6: minimum of 25 hours

December 7-December 13: minimum of 25 hours

December 14-December 20: minimum of 20 hours (No school on Friday)

December 21-January 4: WINTER BREAK

Waterloo Virtual Academy 

• A school-issued Chromebook is REQUIRED for all testing. Please contact the main office to connect with Mrs. Steiber-Moncada to arrange a pick-up or to have your current school-issued Chromebook registration transferred to our program.  

• Our staff is scheduled for lunch from 11:30 A.M. until noon and unavailable after 2 P.M.

• Waterloo Virtual Academy follows the Waterloo CSD's calendar.  Therefore, if Waterloo delays, dismisses early, or cancels classes altogether, the same applies to those who are part of the virtual academy.

• WARNING: Target dates are closer than they appear!

  • All middle school courses should be 75% completed on or before Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

    • Relative Grades will be recorded for all middle school courses in Infinite Campus at the end of first semester, which is Thursday, January 15, 2026.

    • The Relative Grade is the grade that a student would receive if they stopped working and received 0% for all unscored, counted activities. 

  • The next target date for high school courses is Monday, March 2, 2026. All high school courses should be 50% completed on or before Thursday, January 15, 2026.

• Staff is available to work with you each instructional day from 7:45 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. and 12 P.M. to 2 P.M.  Please contact your advisor or content teachers during that time for assistance.
