Advisors proctor tests students take for their high school courses; they are also highly qualified in their content area.
Yes! Students who attend Waterloo Virtual Academy follow the Waterloo CSD calendar.
Please reach out to your advisor. Mrs. Steiber-Moncada handles all of the attendance for our program. If you do have a doctor's appointment, etc., please get a note to excuse you for the hours on the day(s) you missed. You are welcome to take a picture of the medical note and send it via text or email to our staff or drop it off at the Waterloo Career Center Expansion (WCCx) building.
Yes; however, some activities do have specific expectations that need to be met for students to be eligible to attend or participate. Students who are enrolled in Waterloo Virtual Academy are considered to be Expo Alternative Learning Center students, so they are technically considered to be "guests" in their home building for events like homecoming and prom. Extracurricular activities and athletics are a bit different as Expo ALC does not have athletic teams for students to join. Please reach out to the main office at the school hosting the event or activity you would like to be a part of for guidance on their expectations.
Contact the main office of the student's home school.
Once you are logged into Edgenuity, click on your initials in the upper right corner. Next click on Profile. Then Attendance Report. You session log shows your time as HOURS : MINUTES : SECONDS.
Note: Students who receive specially designed instruction will have those minutes included as well; however, those minutes are added into Infinite Campus manually by our attendance tracker and are not readily available.
To view your student's grade, you will need to set up the Edgenuity Parent Portal. With access to the parent portal, you are able to see your student's current grades and attendance in real-time.
Once a high school course is completed, the student's advisor submits a credit completion form. The school registrar will process the form and the course will then show up on the student's transcripts. Transcripts are able to be viewed on Infinite Campus.
