Ms. Scarborough

About me

I grew up at the base of Grandfather Mountain in Foscoe. I attended Valle Crucis and Watauga High, followed by a Bachelor of Music Education and Masters of Instructional Technology from AppState. My main instruments are clarinet and voice, though I play steel drum, penny whistle, guitar, piano, and all instruments that I teach at various levels and venues. I am the current Dean of Students for Cannon Music Camp at AppState, having worked there as a counselor and lead counselor over the past 25 years. I love teaching at the middle school level and watching students go from awkwardly holding their instruments to confidently leading their sections. I work closely with all the other band directors in the county for our combined events and enjoy working with the talented high school students in anyway possible.
