My Story

I received my teaching degree in 1990 and have been teaching in some capacity ever since. My degrees are in Math, Spanish and Theology. I home-schooled my oldest two daughters, so I taught every subject at every level. I lived in Honduras for a summer and studied in Spain for another summer. I have been a translator on several short-term service trips to Mexico and have taken students on trips to Europe, Costa Rica and Belize through EFtours. We will travel to Spain or Central America if we have enough students in 2023. I have traveled to several other countries, as well, and enjoy learning about their cultures. I have been at WHS since 2008. I was married to my late husband for 24 years and have 3 children. My youngest is here at the high school. I enjoy hiking, playing guitar, singing, reading, dancing, playing table games and spending time with family and friends. My favorite charities are https://www.compassion.com/ and https://www.charitywater.org/ .
