She married a dairy farmer and lived in Circleville, Utah for 9 years where she taught 4th grade for two of those years until she quit to raise her family. Her family moved to Santa Clara in 2001 when they decided to sell the dairy farm. In 2009 she was ready to return to work and with her teaching license expired, she took a job as a school secretary in the counseling office at SCMS. She found she enjoyed working with secondary students and being in the counseling office so much that she decided she wanted to go into school counseling instead of return to teaching. In 2018 she got the nerve to apply to graduate school and  was accepted into the University of Utah's School Counseling Program and graduated with her Master's Degree in Educational Psychology in May 2020.  She is beyond excited to continue working at SCMS as a school counselor.

Patricia Parry

Registrar/Secretary

Email: patricia.parry@washk12.org

Patricia Parry was born and raised in Santiago,Chile, the sixth largest city in South America. In such a populous city, the names assigned to schools often carry numerical designations; Mrs. Parry attended the Escuela Primaria 102 for elementary school and completed her secondary or “High” school at Liceo Horacio Andaur B 95. As a young adult, she worked and completed vocational studies at the Instituto de Secretariado in Santiago. In 1991 she married Nathan Parry, a Utahn who served a mission for his church in Chile. Following the completion of his mission, and after months of correspondence, he returned to Santiago where he and Mrs. Parry were married. Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Parry said goodbye to her country, family and the big city and moved with her husband to Utah, USA.

After having taken some time to raise her family and having learned the English language, Mrs. Parry began working with the Washington County school district as an English as a Second Language Assistant. It was also at this time that she resumed her post-secondary studies at the erstwhile Dixie State College and Snow College in education. In 2006, Mrs. Parry was offered a full time position with the district. Three years later, in 2009, she began working here at SCMS as the attendance secretary and a Spanish interpreter. In 2021, after 11 years at the front desk, she decided to embrace a new challenge and joined the counseling team where she is very excited to continue her work here at SCMS.

Mrs. Parry and her husband have four children and six beautiful grandchildren. Mrs. Parry likes reading, watching movies old and new, being outdoors, and listening to classic Latin and American music. However, her very favorite pastime is simply spending time with her family.
