Core (Utah) Curriculum & WCSD/SCHS Collaboration Expectations

Teachers will teach to the objectives of the “core curriculum” as outlined by the Utah State Office of Education. Teachers       will collaborate as a professional learning community to implement best practices in teaching the core objectives.

Teachers will teach the objectives of the "core curriculum" as outlined by the USBE. Teachers are expected to work in         their collaborative teams to implement the steps in the learning/teaching process as outlined below:

    1.  Identify Essential Standards from the Utah State Core Objectives. 

2.  Identify the Learning Targets students are working towards achieving.

3.  Develop and implement Common Formative Assessments (CFAs)

4.  Review data from the CFA

5.  Identify students who did not meet proficiency

6.  Provide immediate and specific interventions and extensions as well as discuss effective teaching practices

7.  Reassess

Teachers will be provided with collaboration time each Friday. School will be dismissed at 12:10. Collaboration time will begin at

1:15 and concludes at 3:15. Please follow the collaboration schedule.
