Course Description
We follow the Utah State Office of Education Core Curriculum for Physical Education.
Suggested PE clothes: (sold in office for $10.00 for 2025/2026 school year only)
We encourage (not require) our students, especially 6th graders to purchase PE clothes from the office. They can then use these for 6th/7th grade while at Dixie Intermediate.
We also encourage either an older Tonaquint or newer Dixie shirt to be worn daily for PE, there are several variations/styles of shirts. If it has some type of Tonaquint or Dixie name/logo on the shirt then that counts. A Tonaquint/Dixie shirt is NOT required, just encouraged. First name and last initial needs to be on the front of the shirt.
If you cannot afford or do not have a Tonaquint/Dixie shirt please see your PE teacher and we will give you one to use for the year free of charge.
Also if you don't have a Tonaquint/Dixie shirt, or you'd rather use something else you can do so. But your shirt color must be BLUE, WHITE, or GRAY. No other colored shirts will be allowed.
It may/may not be possible to purchase just a shirt or shorts, please see our finance secretary in the office and she'll give you the best answer.
Blue athletic shorts are preferred, but other colors and leggings/sweatpants can also be worn. Must have name on front of one leg or on tag of clothing if not possible to see your name.
Students must dress out for PE daily, if students forget their PE clothes they are required to borrow some PE clothes from teachers.
Athletic shoes - rubber soles, shoe laces and good support. No boots, sandals, or slip-ons, crocs etc.
Socks also must be worn daily, no bare feet. Keep your shoes on at ALL times unless instructed by teacher otherwise.
Performance Proficiency Grading Scale: 1 - 4
