We recently read informational sources and watched an informational video about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in Mrs. Opell's language arts classes. Students then had to write a fact to fiction narrative essay in which they wrote a fictional narrative but incorporated what they learned about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
