Individual Learning Plan (ILP)
Every Warren County Public Schools student in Grades 6 through 12 is required to complete tasks and/or lessons for their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) at the start of the school year. The ILP is a student-directed planning and monitoring process that customizes learning opportunities, broadens each student's perspectives and supports attainment of current goals and those goals for beyond high school. The student's ILP will be a dynamic tool and working document for mapping students’ interests to possible coursework and ultimately a career path, needs, supports, course selections (including access to college-level programming), transition placements and other learning experiences at school and potentially in the workforce.
It is a school requirement that every student complete grade-level-specific components of the ILP annually. The student's school will use a provided checklist to monitor the student's progress/work and provide feedback, as needed. It will also be reviewed by Guidance Counselors, College and Career Transition Readiness Coaches, and Teachers to help students make a plan for their next steps beyond high school!
