If a child becomes ill at school and experiences any one of the Covid-19 symptoms, you will be contacted to pick them up immediately and advised to seek professional health care. They must be fever free for 24 hours. These symptoms include (are subject to change at the discretion of BRDHD):

• Temperature greater than 100.4

• New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing

• New rash

• GI (vomiting/diarrhea)

• New loss of taste or smell

• Exposure to a COVID-19 case during a 48 hour period before onset of symptoms until meeting criteria for discontinuing home isolation. The local health department can provide further guidance.
